Bubble & Bark Groomers

Terms & Conditions, GDPR & 

Dog Transport Service Agreement.

 

1. I understand my dog must be fit, healthy and vaccinated up to date. Grooming of sick or elderly dogs is done so at my (The Owners) risk. If my dog's health causes concern to the groomer whilst in their care, I agree to Bubble & Bark seeking veterinary advice at my own expense. I must make Bubble & Bark aware of any medical or skin conditions prior appointment.

 

2.  I agree that the groomer will not be held responsible or liable for any underlying skin or health problems that grooming may expose.

 

3. I understand the groomer cannot be responsible for the standard of grooming or mishaps that may occur whilst grooming my dog with behavioural problems

 

4. I understand that if my pet needs extra time spent on him/her due to de-matting or behaviour. There will be an extra charge for this.

 

5. I understand that if my dogs coat is matted, the groomer may have to shave off their coat due to the Animal Welfare Act 2006. If this is to occur, my dog may take a few days to adjust to his/her new coat. I understand when shaving off the coat there is a risk of clipper burn and cutting the skin of the dog. I understand there could be an extra charge for severely matted dogs as this causes damage to the equipment and can take longer.

 

6. I agree to my dog’s photograph being taken and used on the Bubble & Bark's social media site/Website.

 

7. I agree to my contact details being stored to enable Bubble & Bark to contact me by email, telephone, text, or over social media platforms - For example, this could be for emergencies or to book appointments, reminders, special offers and collections. I understand this could be withdrawn at any time.

 

8. I understand that any data I give to Bubble & Bark will NOT be provided to any other person or business by law and vice versa.

 

9. I understand that it is my responsibility to ensure my pet is flea and wormed on a regular basis. In the event that fleas are found on my dog during a groom an extra charge will be added to the regular groom price to cover the price of flea’s shampoo and the precautionary cleaning of the salon to prevent them spreading to other dogs.

 

10. I understand I must notify Bubble & Bark if my bitch is in season. This helps the groomer to make sure it does not interfere with any other appointments.

 

11. I understand that If my dog’s behaviour is unacceptable and the groomer feels like it is unsafe for them to continue or my dog has or is going to harm itself or the groomer, they reserve the right to discontinue grooming at any time.

 

12. I understand quotes can be given over the phone or at consultation. I understand the price may differ during consultation and that the price depends on the breed, size of the dog, the temperament, coat condition and time taken.

 

13. I understand I must give a minimum of 24 Hours notice for any cancellations. If I do not give enough notice, I understand I could lose my deposit.

 

14. I understand I must pay a £15 deposit when booking my dog in with Bubble & Bark Groomers. This can be used as a rolling deposit. If I decide I want to use the deposit on my dog’s groom, I understand I will have to pay another deposit for the next booking.

 

15. I understand that Bubble & Bark Offer a dog transportation service (Pick up & Drop Off Service) and I understand I am responsible for ensuring my dog is healthy and fit for travel. I understand my dog is not considered fit to travel if he/she is ill, injured, or has given birth within the last 48 hours.

 

16. During transportation I can confirm that my dog is legally accompanied by a member of the Bubble & Bark team.

 

17. I understand that Bubble & Bark’s Transportation service (Pick up and drop off service) is an extra charge.

 

18. I understand that during Bubble & Bark’s Transportation service (Pick up and drop off service), safety checks are made, and the correct safety equipment is used before, during and after the journey.

 

19. I understand that Bubble & Bark Groomers are NOT responsible for any delays or other errors directly associated with traffic, road delays, mechanical issues, or emergencies. I understand I must be flexible with pick-up and drop-off times.

 

20. I understand that I must pay a deposit and sign the T&C’s to reserve my dog’s transportation with Bubble & Bark Groomers.

 

21. I understand that Bubble & Bark Groomers will NOT be liable in the event of a lost or deceased dog in transport as a result of aggression, misinformation, breaking of the leash, automotive accident, or sudden stroke/heart attack. I understand that that Bubble & Bark Groomers will NOT be liable for any pre-existing health conditions that I (the owner) have not outlined in the ‘client booking form.’

 

22. I understand that Bubble & Bark Groomers will only transport dogs greater than 8 weeks of age.

 

23. I understand that during transportation I am completely financially responsible for any damage to property, to humans, or to other animals caused by my dog.

What Data & Why?

 

Bubble & Bark Groomers collect data i.e., your name, address, contact number so we can contact you in regards to any appointments or if there are any problems encountered during the groom.

We also collect and record details about your dog that may affect and support the grooming process and the safety and wellbeing of your dog. We keep a record of any health issues we may encounter during the groom and inform you of these upon collection.

At times we may occasionally collect photographs and/or videos to use on our social media page to better inform customers of my services.

 

Retention of Data:

Bubble & Bark will keep a copy of you and your dog’s information during your time of using Bubble & Bark Groomers. In the event of you no longer using my services, I will keep a copy of your information for 12 months after your last groom or our last point of contact. At the end of the 12 months, I will destroy and delete all data collected from my files, phone, and laptop.

 

How will your information be kept?

Your records and collected information about you and your dog will be kept on my phone, laptop and/or in a paperwork file. My phone and laptop are password and/or fingerprint protected (Which is only known by the business owner Molly) and the paperwork will be locked away during out of hours. You are entitled to review any information I hold about you. If you require such information, this will be met within 1 month of request.

 

How the law applies to Bubble & Bark Groomers:

We will only use your personal information if you have asked and have a signed record of your consent to do so. I will NOT sell your personal information to other organisations or rent swap. You can withdraw your consent for me to use your information at any time by either:

Privacy Policy Consent:

I confirm I have read and understood the policy for data capture, usage, and retention, and give my consent to Bubble & Bark to collect, use and retain/destroy it, according to GDPR 2018. I thereby confirm Bubble & Bark Groomers is permitted to contact me via mobile phone, landline, email or social media, and share pictures or videos of my dogs names and breed on social media, in connection with Bubble & Bark Groomers business. I reserve the right to withdraw my consent at anytime should I feel necessary to do so.
